2024 SPECIAL OLYMPICS ARIZONA RAFFLE RULES

GENERAL. By participating in Special Olympics Arizona's Raffle ("Raffle"), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Special Olympics Arizona, which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle.

ELIGIBILITY: The Raffle is governed by the Arizona law and open only to purchasers present in Arizona at the time of entry purchase who are at least 18 years old at time of entry purchase. United States citizenship is not required to purchase an entry or to win. The following individuals and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent and related companies and agencies are not eligible to win a prize in the Raffle. Executive management and officers of Special Olympics Arizona and their immediate family members residing in the same household.

PURCHASING RAFFLE TICKETS. ALL PURCHASES MUST BE MADE BY ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS LOCATED WITHIN THE STATE OF ARIZONA AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. Special Olympics Arizona shall be the sole judge of the validity and eligibility of all entries. All Raffle Ticket purchases shall be final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued by Special Olympics Arizona unless the Raffle is canceled by Special Olympics Arizona. Entries which are or appear to be tampered with are void. Only one (1) individual may be identified as an entry purchaser. The Raffle is conducted in English. Entries may be purchased via the internet or the call center. Entry purchasers providing the Raffle with a valid email address will receive confirmation number(s) by return email. For all other entry purchasers, ticket confirmation number(s) will be mailed within ten (10) business days of purchase. This is the only confirmation that will be provided. A copy of the ticket confirmation number is not required to claim a prize. Questions concerning ticket confirmation number(s) should be directed to the "Administrator," Special Olympics Arizona, at the address listed below. All entries are non-refundable.

RAFFLE DRAWINGS: In the Raffles, there is no possibility of a tie. All draws will be under the supervision of the Administrator. Entry purchasers may win more than one prize. All time references are to Mountain Standard Time. All entries are nonrefundable unless the Raffle is cancelled by Special Olympics Arizona.

Pricing:

Raffle Tickets are one for $10, 5-packs for $25, 15-packs for $50, and 45-packs for $100.

Drawing Dates:

Draw dates are: Wednesday, March 6, 2024, for which entries will be accepted until midnight March 1, 2024; Wednesday, March 13, 2024, for which entries will be accepted until midnight March 8, 2024; Wednesday, March 20, 2024, for which entries will be accepted until midnight March 15, 2024; Wednesday, March 27, 2024, for which entries will be accepted until midnight March 22, 2024; Wednesday, April 3, 2024, for which entries will be accepted until midnight March 29, 2024; after each draw, the winner's entry number will be returned for all subsequent draws.

Promo Codes:

Between 2/26/2024 and 3/1/2024, any multi-pack order received that uses the promo code COPPER10 during an order will receive a 20-pack of Raffle Tickets for $25, a 60-pack of Raffle Tickets for $50, or a 180-pack of Raffle Tickets for $100.

Between 3/2/2024 and 3/15/2024, any multi-pack order received that uses the promo code COPPER20 during an order will receive a 15-pack of Raffle Tickets for $25, a 45-pack of Raffle Tickets for $50, or a 135-pack of Raffle Tickets for $100.

Between 3/16/2024 and 3/29/2024, any multi-pack order received that uses the promo code COPPER30 during an order will receive a 10-pack of Raffle Tickets for $25, a 30-pack of Raffle Tickets for $50, or a 90-pack of Raffle Tickets for $100.

PRIZES: $1,000 per week for five weeks.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS:

Special Olympics Arizona will make reasonable efforts to contact prize winners using information provided on the entry form. If a prize winner does not contact Special Olympics Arizona within 30 days after the first initial contact notifying the prize winner of their winnings, then Special Olympics Arizona shall give notice to such prize winner by U.S. Postal Service certified mail, return receipt requested, at the address set forth in the information provided by the ticket purchaser. This notice shall state (a) the prize won, (b) a telephone number of a contact person at Special Olympics Arizona, (c) the time and location where the prize(s) can be claimed, and (d) that if the prize has not been claimed within 30 days of the date the notification is given, that Special Olympics Arizona may, at its option, retain the prize.

Special Olympics Arizona will not award a prize if the prize winner (a) was ineligible to purchase a ticket or otherwise enter the Raffle, (b) provided materially false or misleading information to Special Olympics Arizona in connection with the purchase of a Raffle ticket, or (c) if participating in this Raffle or receiving a prize is prohibited with respect to such person pursuant to these Rules or Applicable Law. No other Raffle ticket will be substituted for a Raffle ticket, and Special Olympics Arizona will retain the prize. A Ticket Holder cannot assign or transfer his/her interest in a Raffle ticket or a prize won by a winning Raffle ticket.

PRIVACY: By entering the Raffle, entry purchasers agree that their information provided in connection with the Raffle entry may be used for communications promoting the Raffle and future raffles sponsored by or conducted for the benefit of Special Olympics Arizona. An entry purchaser may subsequently "opt-out" of the receipt of such communications by following the directions in any email, other communication or by contacting the Administrator (contact information below). Purchase of an entry in the Raffle constitutes permission for the Raffle and Special Olympics Arizona to use winner's name, address and/or likeness, in perpetuity, for purposes of advertising the Raffle or future raffles without further consent or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

REQUIREMENTS: Potential winners must complete all steps outlined in their winners' letter within the designated timeframe. If an entrant is found to be ineligible, or if a potential winner does not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential winner will be disqualified and the prize or a cash equivalent will revert to Special Olympics Arizona.

RAFFLE CANCELLATION: In the unforeseen event the Raffle is cancelled or cannot be completed, every effort will be made to refund the ticket purchase price to all Raffle ticket purchasers. Tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to credit card holder's account. Special Olympics Arizona's liability to any ticket purchaser is the purchase price of the ticket.

WAIVER / LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Except as described in the previous paragraph, entry purchasers, by participating in the Raffle (and winners, by accepting a Raffle prize), release Special Olympics Arizona, partners, subsidiaries, agents, representatives, sponsors, service agencies and independent contractors, and each of their respective directors, officers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion, possession, use and distribution of the prize(s) awarded.

INTERNET: The Raffle will pursue all available legal remedies against any individual(s) damaging or attempting to damage any Special Olympics Arizona Raffle website or attempting to undermine the lawful operation of the Raffle.

ARBITRATION: In the event a dispute shall arise between the purchaser and Special Olympics Arizona, any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the raffle, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The place of arbitration shall be in the State of Arizona. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

FORCE MAJEURE: Special Olympics Arizona shall be in default or otherwise liable for any delay in or failure of its performance of the Raffle if such delay or failure arises by any reason beyond reasonable control, including any act of God, any acts of war, terrorism, the elements, earthquakes, floods, fires, epidemics, pandemics, riots, failures or delay in transportation or communications, or any act or failure to act by the other party or such other party's employees, agents or contractors.

GOVERNING LAW: Should a dispute arise between a purchaser and Special Olympics Arizona, purchaser agrees that all cases, controversies, and legal issues shall be governed by the laws and jurisdiction of the State of Arizona.

TAXES AND IRS RULES: All winners shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prizes. All cash prizes will be paid net of applicable income tax withholding.

SPECIAL NOTE: At the time of this printing, federal law requires that corresponding tax withholding on prize values of $5,000 or greater must be collected from winners upon award and distribution. Federal and state withholding laws are subject to change without notice. The withholding laws in effect at the time prizes are claimed will be followed. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.
